ABOUT ME

While being born in 1991, I still can say that I'm older than my country, as the USSR crashed several months after my b-day. My life has kindly brought (and continues to bring) different sorts of experiences for me, especially on the side of knowing a variety of very intelligent and creative people, thanks to my wonderful parents, to my education path and to my personal interests. I'm happy and blessed to be with my wife Stella.

At the current stage, my main area of participation is an emerging research incentive at the University of St Andrews which is lying in-between the worlds of computer-based data analysis and various types of social research (audience research, investigative journalism, etc.) In 2013 I have started doing my PhD in that field and am super-excited about that!

In the last years in Moscow, I was very dedicated to my local rock band Hidden Palace. We've gone done several demo recordings and I'm quite proud of some stuff we created!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some of my wonderful friends through this very website. My wife and I simply met the couch-surfers that happen to stay in places nearby us - and it always was a great experience!

Also, in our many travelling we often stayed at other people. We had great hosts who supported us a lot in our needs and struggles, so we are thankful to them: without their help we would never know where to eat garlic oysters and deal with weird transport infrastructures of their cities :).

Interesses

My main interests are music and applied science. Beyond that I am a dedicated traveller with two most liked types of trips: "history&culture" and "beach&swimming". I also enjoy the Mother Nature as it is, hence sometimes I am ready to go into the forests or by natural paths; however, overnight camping is probably not for me :).

Also, I enjoy food. So does my wife. We LOVE it!

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Music: I'm a bit geeky on this side, so more rock-ish/metal-ish stuff would suit perfectly. Also, I truly enjoy playing guitar and composing music myself. It is honestly a great feeling when you find means for self-expression.

Books: "1984", "Karamazov Brothers", "Walking on Glass", "The Doomed City", "One Hundred Years of Solitude", Roald Dahl's short stories.

Movies: it would be a long list, although my 'still-need-to-watch' list is probably even longer :D.
