Why I’m on Couchsurfing

cause why would i stay in hotels alone when i have the possibility to make friends in every corner of the world and exchange our cultures? i feel like couchsurfing is a win win situation and i love it!!

Interests

i‘m mainly interested in low budget travelling, hiking, skiing, track and field as a sport, neurodiversity, veganism, a bit of spirituality, backpacking and trekking, such as hitchhiking trips, but also good netflix series or films - and i love disney movies. moreover i LOVE to cook and bake (even if the kitchen is always a mess afterwards and i hate cleaning it;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy listening to music or watching a great film:) my favorite ones are: mamma mia 1&2 (I LOVE THEM top 1 comfort movie(s)), harriet, the world to come, murder on the orient express (crimes in general such as: sherlock, hercule poirot, enola holmes and knives out), where the crawdads sing or also disney movies for children such as frozen, arielle or encanto;)
unfortunatley i don't read (i'm sorry, i really tried;) as i have adhd and am not as good with concentrating haha, but i'd love to hear about your favorite books!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when i was 13 I did my first „solo travel“ for 2 months to a french island called „la réunion“ and I often think about that time and now 6 years afterwards I‘m still a bit proud of my brave younger self.

another amazing thing I‘ve done was hiking with two friends of mine from germany to greece in 2024. We hiked 1200km, crossed the alps and parts of the dolomites, met tons of amazing people who shared their food with us or offered us to sleep at their places even if we weren‘t able to properly communicate and to sum up thats kinda the thing i love about low budget travelling and espacially long distance hikes because you have a whole different experience!!

in 2025 i worked several months for a street dog help organisation in sri lanka even tho i had a dog phobia but i faced my fear and now i even adopted a dog from there;)

since 2025 i‘m travelling alone (even if i feel like i‘m never actually alone) with my hammock and backpack through the world (and finally faced my fear of wildcamping alone)

I offer to teach you some german (or if you are a beginner some english and french) and I‘d like to improve my french skills if possible, optional i can teach you about german culture

i‘m full of positive energy and a social butterfly (if i feel comfortable) (i'm not gonna lie and i'll never get tired of telling my favourite travel stories the 9364682th time;) and i LOVE to cook traditional (or less traditional) dishes as a „thank you for hosting me“ thing
