About Me

Hello! I am an easy-going young human being on an adventure. My main interests are philosophy, ecology, gardening, craft, contemporary art and art history. I just graduated from the University of Florida with a BFA in sculpture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling with a fellow artist an my best friend, Helen Lehrer, across the country. I'm working on a blog that is a compilation of interviews with artists, curators, and other people engaged in artistic and socially engaged practices. I hope Couchsurfing can give us rewarding experiences meeting people in our travels as well as a means of resting our tired bones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Picture this if you will:
Crammed within the confines of a small cube covered in breaded fabric, I am curled into a ball wearing a costume made of bread and burlap as I play a bass guitar that is also breaded, incessantly tuning the strings, creating dissonant harmonies, wolf tones, vibrating the wood panels of this small room at the Aurora Healing Arts Center in Gainesville, FL, as well as the bones of everyone watching. I cut a hole in my resonating chamber womb , crawl into the world, leaving the bread bass in a feedback state, a hum that vibrates throughout the entire building. I squeeze myself into my mobile bread reliquary and briefly lecture my fellow humans about electromagnetism and the absurd ELF clamor all life is bathed in, raised in and cooked in, so basic yet so profound, just like the bread that we eat. I throw bread crumbs, at people as they sing the song DA-DA in tribute to the profound absurdity of all things.

Teach, Learn, Share

Most of all, I want to learn about how people in different places socially engage in order to help raise others up in the pursuit of collective happiness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Let me share with you my perspectives, which are driven by philosophy and art. Let me listen to your perspectives on experience, and let us have conversations that broaden both our understandings of the life.
