About Me

I spent my childhood in Algeria, and remembers the beautiful mountains and the roman ruins of Timgad I was running through as a child :)

Then me and my family moved in Tunis, and that's where I grew up as a teenager. I love this city for its permanent move. I still have lot of friends there and go back from time to time, if you plan to visit this city feel free to ask !

Then at 20 I moved to Montpellier, South of France, and stayed there for 15 (!!) years. I saw the city grow, and it is definitely )a great place to live. , I loved guiding new visitors through the center of this city.

After a small parenthesis of 1.5 years near Nice for work, I now moved to Dudelange for a new job in Luxembourg: I am pretty new in this country and still have a lot of things to visit and discover, so I would be happy to go sightseeing with other couchsurfers :)

Working as a programmer using open-source and free-software technologies, I'm also fond of fablabs, 3d printing, and hackerspaces and all that geeky things that are transforming our interactions with the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling I'm more interested in human relations and the present than museums/the past, although it has its importance too :)

Interests

I like meeting people who try to go their way of living, wherever talking arts or politics or technic :)

My actual playing goes with photography, trying to capture the mood of a moment, an ambiance, or some textures ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock n Roll ! Definitely !
To tell the truth I'm really open minded and listens every piece of music; I like going out, festivals, electro, concerts, parties ... there is a good moment for everything !

Films, I'm fond of the Cohen Brothers (No country for old man, Fargo ...) , Jim Jarmush (Dead Man, Night on Earth) , In Bruges, 7 samuraïs (Akira Kurozawa), Tetro (F.F.Coppola) to name some

Series/Anime: True Detective, Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, Cowboy Beebop, Samurai Champloo ...

Books: Stephan Zweig (The Chess Player, Decisive Moments of History), Patrick Suskind (Perfume: the story of a murderer), Alessandro Baricco (Novocento: pianist), Blaise Cendrars (L'Or)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled throug France by bicycle, 10 days on the road for 750 km,in the summer, sleeping in my hamac, every night in a different place :)

it was fun switching to this slow rythm (bike travel is really different from car or bus or train specially when it comes to long distances)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some guitar or harmonica at least a little bit
Or I can give you programming or computer lessons ?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Computer services at home (although this is not exactly my job I know everyone is interested :) )
I also can cook meats from Tunisia or France depending on what we have !

If you have a bicycle I'm good at checking out everything and repairing or tuning steering and gears shift and everything. Also can help a little bit with cars / electricity if there is some small failures or things to change.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Mauritius, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
