About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find a little peace in this chaos. Re-inventing myself.
ABOUT ME
-Been a Registered Nurse for 8 years and returning back to work after being disabled on the job.
-I am on a team that is working on developing an economic master plan for the Native American people, starting with the Navajo, which includes the re-localization of commodities, sustainability and cultural preservation.
-I am a photographer. I've been road tripping to local sites all over the Four Corners region of the US. This area includes Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.
-I loved spending time with friends, concerts, movies, hiking, camping or chilling at home.
-I'm very interested in local cuisine and local hangouts.
-If you know and enjoy "Wait, wait don't tell me" from NPR then we'll get along just fine.
-Writing my first novel about Navajo Witchcraft with a creation myth twist.
-Working on a musical about the Navajo Emergence Story
-Have an outline for a screen play about the adoption of my clan into the Navajo Ke' system during the time prior to the Long Walk and the Navajo interment at Fort Sumner during the Civil War.
-A liberal, gay Mormon
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone should be treated with respect and with an open mind. Learning never ceases and striving to be a better people requires exploration and stepping out of ones comfort zone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By promoting a global family and when I'm not traveling opening my home to those fellow globe trotters. I travel out into the reservation several times a week for work and would enjoy showing others the splendor and beauty of the Navajo people and Navajo homeland. It's a photographers paradise!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted surfers from all over the globe and enjoyed the interactions and learning from each other. My experiences, except for one instance, have been extremely positive and worth while.
