ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty good person, if I do say so myself... I believe in balance and equality, I try to be grateful for every molecule in the universe, as it all has its place, and my socks are always fresh.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's possible in our age, in our generation to transend pain and suffering, fear and hatred... to rise above our self-imposed intellectual and emotional limitations, and achieve Oneness with the universe.

We just have to try really really hard.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I Couchsurfed through Europe, which was the best experience I could ask for.

Now, I've got a house in Burlington that I'd love to share with anyone in the world.

Berlin house parties and Vienna club nights. Mmm.

Centres d'intérêt

Art and mythology are two things I like to try and ingest as much of as I can, from paleolithic cave paintings, to marble statues of the Olympian pantheon of Ancient Greek.... masks from New Guinea, frescoes of Biblical events, bronze statues of Hindu dieties with a thousand arms... down to current super heroes and the comic books in which they reside. They all tell the same stories.

I love those moments of meeting a person you can really speak to, whether or not it's in the same language...

I also really love Disney movies (and other forms of great animation, like Batman the Animated Series), listening to music from all corners of the world (especially when fused together), writing, cartooning, eating, socializing, thinking, getting dressed in the morning, dancing on the sidewalk in foreign cities, speaking bluntly, and cooking (with peanut butter as essentially my ingredient of choice.)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I dig music. Architecture in Helsinki and Broken Social Scene are my favorite bands... I'm also on an M.I.A. kick, for I just happen to love Bhangra, and I LOVE old school hip hop... I also love anything rich with harmony or complex chord structures... (I should listen to more Bach.)

As I said, I love Walt Disney (Sleeping Beauty is a moving masterpiece), I love comic book movies, and perhaps my favorite film in the world is a little American film called Shortbus. Other charming indie films here, and adrenaline-pumping action films there...

I love comic books. I don't read a lot of novels (too difficult to finish), but if it's informational, interesting and has non-linear sections, (and not to mention illustrated), I'd gladly jump into it.
