ABOUT ME

I like to move: By bike, canoe, my two feet, in the water, out of water, in the air, on rocks, in trees. I also like to sit still sometimes.

Minnesota can make a person tough- think biking in winter, -40 windchill (if you aren't familiar with windchills, come and visit in winter).

I want to travel EVERYWHERE in this glorious world, meet all the friends I have yet to meet, and introduce people to the awesome city I grew up and live in

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Every day is amazing! Some highlights: Hiking and beach combing on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Swimming in the perfect reflection of the big dipper in a clear spring-fed lake in northern Wisconsin. Picking figs with my grandmother in Lebanon in her hometown, and watching her climb a tree for almonds (she's 70 years old!). Hiking to the top of Harney Peak in the Black Hills, carrying a quartzite heart found on the trail. Completing 6 American Birkebeiner ski races (50km each)- this year will be my 7th.
