About Me

I work at Google in Los Angeles and live very close to the famous Venice beach and the historical Venice canals. You can walk/bike/rollerblade to Venice beach or the canals in few minutes. Santa Monica pier and Santa Monica Promenade are just another few minutes from there!

I am in the intersection of geeks and artists. I do computer stuff as my day job, visual arts as a hobby, and extreme sports as a way to keep life exciting.

I value creativity and art in general. Especially, I have a passion for visual arts. I think a lot about our perception of beauty.

I try to take care of my body and mind. I like outdoor activities and being in touch with nature. I enjoy hiking, camping, running at the beach, snorkeling etc. Oh and I love animals! I have had many pets but sadly I have no pets at the moment.

I enjoy intellectual conversations. Random topics are welcome! A random topic can be "Whether true random phenomena exist?".

I try to enjoy life and experience new things every now and then. I like to think that I am improving myself in different aspects as I get older.

I'm constantly thinking where I should travel next! suggestions are more than welcome :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couch surf, host, meetup, and host CS events regularly. I love to meet new cultured, open-minded, and intellectual people. Majority of people I have met on couchsurfing have been awesome people and have influenced my life for the better :-)

If you are in town, consider joining one of our bi-weekly awesome Westside Pool Parties (WPP). We have them on 1st and 3rd Fridays of evey month!
Look them up under the events search (http://goo.gl/qAD9CG)

If they are full (and they usually are), just stay tuned and we will add more spots to the events as it gets closer to the day of the event.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Anything with complex stories, original ideas and pleasing visuals would be cool. To name a few: Braveheart, Devil's Advocate, The Matrix, Inception, Fight Club, Se7en, Black Swan, The Butterfly Effect, Shutter Island, Face/Off, Memento, 300, Sin City, and all animated movies (because that's what I did during grad school!)

Music:
I listen to all types of music and it mostly depends on the mood/occasion but if I have to pick some bands they would be: Metallica, Muse, Evanescence, Pink Floyd, P.O.D., Guns'n Roses, Anathema, Enigma, Sting, Vangelis, ...

Food:
Anything that is healthy! I like Thai, Italian, Mexican, Persian, Indian, Ethiopian, etc! I can add Salmon, Avocado, blue cheese to basically anything. And I like my food spicy!

The most important aspect of couchsurfing for me is the cultural exchange. You will learn a lot when you get to know people with different views, habits, life styles, goals and ambitions. I usually have great conversations with my hosts and guests and end up learning a lot from them :-)
