Continuing the adventure... studying in Latvia!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the States as a second generation Latvian (think "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", just Latvian!). Graduated from University of Pittsburgh, worked in France teaching English in a primary school in the mountains, and have now returned to the "Grandfather Land" of Latvia to continue my studies. I enjoy meeting new people, seeing new places, experiencing new things. I love to sing. My favorite holiday is Summer Solstice.

PHILOSOPHY

Independence and self-discovery is important to me. Smiling makes everything better. I'm still trying to figure out the rest...

I've surfed a few times and spent time with fellow CouchSurfers, all experiences were great! I hope to continue adding to these experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite travel moments was in Barcelona, walking along the pier. I stumbled upon a group of people performing traditional dances from South/Eastern Europe and joined in! It was challenging to try to communicate in a language I don't really speak and even more challenging to keep my feet moving along with the rest of them! It turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences I had in my trip.

Teach: TONS of Latvian drinking songs, how to make a bad-ass guacamole, and a pretty good mixed cocktail.
Learn: Languages! Looking to learn more about wine (varieties, tastes, combinations), songs and music experiences
