Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently met a few people who are ´couch surfers´and the people that i have met and the unique style of travel that they have has interested me more than hanging out with the gringo´s in the usual hostels. I want more of an in depth cultural experience in the countries that i visit!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never been involved with the ´official´ couch surfing project although i have visited more than 27 countries, i have actively been involved with hospitalityclub.com. I have also stayed with many different families and more than 100 different hostels.

Interests

I have an open mind and am willing to give ALMOST anything a shot...even if i only do it once. My main interests involve anything to do with cars, i love the outdoors, i love sport but unfortunatley cannot participate in many any more (i have a permanent ankle injury), i love politics, economics, science, meeting people, tasting yummy beers, chilling out and having a good time!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies include - Two Hands (Heath Ledger, aussie classic), The Castle (another iconic aussie flick), Talladega Nights, 40 year old virgin, most comedies, action flicks. I cant stand ´Rom-Com´i am actually offended that they use the ´com´in that phrase!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling in general is the most amazing thing about my short life. I have met more people who in turn all teach me a little lesson, i know it sounds corny or a little hippy-ish, but I cannot rate watching the sunrising at Machu Pichu or Uluru over watching the Aurora Borealis in Alaska, or Lava flowing in Hawaii.

BE POSITIVE with everything you do everyday, everyone forgets from time to time, but the more you can remember to BE POSITIVE then I truley believe that your entire life will become more POSITIVE. It is a responsibility, if you ARE POSITIVE then POSITIVE things will happen in your life.
