Hi, I'm Imhotep! I'm a Graphic Designer and Photographer from Brooklyn, New York. I love traveling, trying new foods, stumbling upon new sounds and music and meeting interesting people and having stimulating conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couch-surfing might be the best way to travel. In my travels, I've been truly lucky and have been able to meet and befriend people that have extended their homes to me or have put me in contact with friends in their home countries. My experiences have taught me that you always get a better feel for a place from those who actually live there and only when you're able to connect in casual settings.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm currently into Disco, Jazz, Funk, Soul and Bosa Nova.

Movies: Pretty much anything that is able to portray the subtle intricacies of the human condition. Plus the Avengers Movies ;-)

Books: I love nonfiction (boring, I know). Currently reading a book about an Ethiopian Philosopher, titled Rationality of the Heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some years ago I owned a streetwear brand and had a store. It was very challenging, but learned a lot and had tons of fun :)

I would like to learn:
- How to cook a dish from your culture
- Useful words and phrases in a language that you speak that I don't
