About Me

I graduated from university in 2016 summer, I have been living in Prague since then, where I work in hospitality management, as well as doing translations, customer support duties, and software testing for a German company, among other things.

I believe that in order to really understand what a country is like, and to see behind the show that a country puts on for tourists who want to take the exact same picture that other tourists have taken before them a million times, one should spend more time there than only a couple of days. This is why I spent two summers in the UK, and participated in the Erasmus exchange programme in Prague. (I decided to move here after it was over). I'm planning on continuing this way of exploration.
However, sadly, that is not always possible, in which case I'm glad to go on shorter trips as well - I never said that was a bad thing. ;)

I spent most of my adult life in Prague and Budapest - both incredibly popular tourist destinations - I have been working with AirBnB for a few years now, and I have helped countless travellers find their way around.

Once in 2015 I got an email from a friend who invited me to use Couchsurfing - I clicked "Register" and made an account...which lay dormant until now, 29th Nov. 2017 - in case you were wondering why someone with a two-year old account has no references at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Until now I haven't had much opportunity to travel freely, and I have always wanted to see new places, or just visit those amazing ones that I've already been to - Couchsurfing seems to be a great opportunity to do just that, while walking off the beaten path and meeting great people along the way

Interests

My "labels" of interest may seem chaotic at first - they actually are :) There are so many interesting topics in this world, and even though one can never really get to a point where they know all about them...one should still try. I appreciate having great conversations on a lot of subjects!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got up at 7.30 AM and walked around in Prague's center on the 1st of January - on the fresh snow, with not a soul on the streets - quite a unique experience

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in language exchange, and hearing the stories from your travels - as well as sharing mine :)

I really like cooking - I'm happy to prepare a nice meal for you, either something of the Hungarian cuisine, or something a bit less spicy :) I can also help you with translations (English, German, Hungarian)
