Overview
About Me
I'm an anthropologist living off research, writing and epicureanism, enjoy conversations, music, cooking, scenic and cultural beauty, history, and many other things. I am a cheerful and open person but in recent years often a bit too busy for my taste. I love animals, kids, kind and spirited people and still somehow believe the world can be a better place and survive our era, though I find much of what is going on rather unfortunate. Professionally, I specialise mainly in Eastern Africa, nomads, conflict, cooperation, development, ecology and various theoretical issues, including social evolution, but worked on several other topics in the past, including religion in the Caribbean and India.
