hello! I'm Imogen and my boyfriend Kade is the dude in my pics :) We've been slowly travelling since July 2018 and have no plans to finish up. We focus on local experiences and immersing ourselves in culture, and of course, meeting wonderful people!

Imogen-
I am a freelance journalist and am currently working on an ethical travel website (www.hazaarthebazaar.com) which focuses on travelling sustainably and giving back to the community you jump into. I make music, write and do little strange illustrations. I also teach English online with a Chinese company and am absolutely in love with my job! It's so special to see the impact I make on little kids.

I am a vegetarian (don't worry- I'm not annoying and am 100% happy for you to eat meat around me, I just don't like it myself) and am a giant people person. Travelling for me is more a way of life. I feel travelling is the key to understanding global issues and working towards solving them. Seeing issues from a first hand perspective and immersing with people who personally face these issues opens up such an exciting rabbit hole! I am an extremely respectful person with a love for sharing stories and delving deeper into human connection. There is nothing better than having a good laugh and good times!

Kade-
I am from New Zealand and am a passionate cook who loves experimenting with different flavours and cuisines. Cooking for a vegetarian has expanded my view on food and there's nothing cooler than making a hearty, veg full meal and thoroughly enjoying it. I'm an avid skateboarder and snowboarder whenever I can get to the snow, and enjoy the adventurous side of travel. Like Imogen, I am passionate about sustainable travel and am taking on the role of Foodie Man of Hazaar the Bazaar, which will take me deep into local cuisine with a full tum and a huge grin. I'm also a huge people person and love nothing more than a yarn with some great people :)

We adore the local experience and the hidden nooks and crannies, the gooood food and learning history about where we're travelling. We have been renters in Australia and unfortunately our housemates have never been comfortable with hosting CS's much to our disappointment. The only reason we are looking forward to getting our own house is to host surfers! What a great way to stay in the nomad loop and meet great people.

The travelling community is phenomenal- they are a different strain of people. We see the world through rose coloured glasses and life is pure adventure. I love it!

Imogen:
I love to write, make art, read random interesting articles, try and understand politics, read, learn Turkish (my origin), play music, find great new music, go to live music, make new pals, chat about sustainability and eco-tourism, clean up the beach!!! and swim. I feel at home by the ocean and I loooove the cold weather.

Kade:
I am an adventure fanatic and like to move my body in anyway. I enjoy learning, crypto-trading, cooking, taste-testing, good groovy nights with good groovy people and listening to crazy weird podcasts. I like fiddling with bike parts and car parts, fixing my car that breaks down often and learning everything there is to learn!

We looooove music. Imogen: The Wombats, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Kooks, Lykke Li, The Smiths, Chet Faker, The Clash, Joy Division, Beach Boys, DMA's, D. D dumbo, Phoenix, and more. I love searching ethnic music playlists on Spotify and transcending to the beach on Santorini or a warm steamy night in Cuba! Kade loves Kendrick and Deathgrips, Vince Staples and Alexisonfire, as well as old school stuff like Joy Division. We aren't much of a movie couple but do enjoy a good TV series- including Homeland, Stranger Things, Big Mouth etc

Imogen-
not sure if it's amazing haha but I accidentally did an emergency dental appointment tour of europe it seems- lost the same tooth in Corfu, Greece one night and a month later in Istanbul. I look forward to breaking it again and continuing my global dentist tour!!

Kade-
spent 7 months living like a local in India. He had no phone, bought a van and road tripped it from Rajasthan to Karnataka. What an amazing feat!!

I am super interested in music and I play guitar, sing and write my own music so that could be cool if anyone is interested in that also. will be missing my guitar back home so a jam session is a definite!

Kade is keen to get in the kitchen and cook a meal, share a meal or anything in between. You will adore Kade's cooking- he is gifted!!
