About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To listen more closely, be compassionate, trust intuition.
Find ways for humans to reconnect and understand that we and nature are the same, and find the pathways of healing this relationship and stop chasing ghosts.

ABOUT ME

I am relentlessly fascinated and invigorated by the natural world, from the incomprehensible time history behind mountains and rock formations to the lifespan of a few hours for a microscopic insect that lives inside a sprig of moss. There's an endless stream of beauty, horror and knowledge waiting out there.

I've studied and experienced quite different themes and topics so far in life, but to me they are all related. A long term passion of mine is to creatively and thoughtful grow food and also help to regenerate land with others. I have lived in community in the countryside over the last 6 years and spend a lot of time walking in the woods, going to the beach, practising yoga and learning about the human being - body/mind/spirit and ways we can find to wake up and be really alive. My life is a bit quieter now than when I was younger, but I think sometimes we need some restful times to process things and see what peace feels like.

I am currently travelling/looking for work and a place to stay in Tirol, Austria, ideally around Innsbruck/Galtür , so hit me up with any ideas if you got any.

I like to talk about real stuff, and am not good with small talk. I prefer to be honest, even if it might seem a bit blunt sometimes.

Happy for adventures or for just enjoying some nice food and scenery and playing some games. Life doesn't need to be complicated.

PHILOSOPHY

Figuring this out right now! Something like, First do no harm, then be grateful, and have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosted a few times by lovely people, with an exception or two. I try to always contribute in some way when I am offered a stay, whether it's by making some food, or helping with something if I can. Once I can host people, I would love to do so.

Interests

I like to sketch people and explore nature, interested in biology, conservation, resilience - socially, individually and environmentally, cooking, music, dancing, yoga and reading. I like learning about things I never thought I would be good at previously.

I also make paintings and write poetry, like to explore the topics of philosophy and psychology and deep ecology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Really into Studio Ghibli and fantasy movies, comedy, satire and mythical novels. Recently embracing my love of musicals and "cheesy" things! Though I can also have a dark sense of humour, too.
Music depends on the atmosphere and my mood. Just try me!
Books: Robin Wall Kimmerer, Joanne Harris (favorite all time series : Chocolat) Asia Suler, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, The book of Receiving and Giving, ancient stories

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The amazing things I've done don't make me more special than anyone , we've all done amazing things, which would never have been possible if not for other people, places and natural events.

I'm not sure what is considered amazing to be honest! Being born is kind of amazing... Flying in a plane is pretty amazing! Having a dream come true is kind of amazing! But I can't take credit for them!

What I find amazing today in my life is how much can change. I got really interested in improving my eyesight so that I don't need glasses anymore and this is slowly becoming true. So that's pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been practising yoga for over 10 years and also working in gardening/farming for a bit less than a decade, so can give tips and skill share this if it appeals. I also know quite a bit about herbalism and foraging and holistic health.
I like to tell stories. I do a good massage. Can be a good listener.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, games, songs, food, yoga, foraging, gardening and dance tips, maybe massage
