ABOUT ME

I am a Health and Wellness Practitioner, certified in Quantum Techniques energy medicine with 18+ years of experience. I help people reclaim their health and vitality by cutting out the guesswork and custom-tailoring a path to recovery using cutting edge healing techniques. I also own and operate a business that makes specialty products for the outdoor market including fishing line conditioner and outdoor protectants.

My diverse work background ranges from making circuit boards and socks, to doing freelance IT and videography work, to starting a business making outdoor products. I have always enjoyed adventure, especially traveling and outdoor activities such as hiking and canoeing. I believe you learn and grow from each experience even if it’s just sleeping under a picnic table in Connecticut while hiking the Appalachian Trail or taking a toboggan ride at the Great Wall of China.

I love to travel and experience new things and places. I run my own business and work hard but I like to get away when I can and do something new and exciting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It is really a great experience to go and see other areas and meet the people that live there. Seeing an area through their eyes is so much better than the "normal" way of doing it.
I have surfed and hosted people who were all awesome. I hope to have some more great experiences as opportunity arises.
I've recently moved to Asheville, NC and hosted my first few guests. All were very positive experiences and I look forward to meeting more couchsurfers.

Interests

Growing up with allergies, psoriasis, and often severe asthma led me on a quest to finding the cause of these issues. I had always been interested in alternative wellness, mind-body connection, psychology, nutrition, and fitness. With these interests and a problem-solving engineering background, I decided I did not want the go the medication route and was determined to find a natural solution. Though I started this journey to solve physical symptoms, I quickly learned that there was much more involved. Being introduced to consciousness work, not only as a tool but as part of the actual framework for the healing process, became Integral to this healing work. With this extensive training and personal growth I resolved my illnesses and began using these skills to help others restore their health and vitality. I use a healing modality called Quantum Techniques. It's a very comprehensive and fast form of energy healing that helps to rid the body of it's blocks to healing.

I like doing new things. I love outdoor activities especially hiking and canoeing. I enjoy a wide range of hobbies/interests including electronics, computers, web design/programming, home improvement/repair, automechanics, beekeeping, cooking, etc. I have always been interested in health, wellness, self-help, consciousness work, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock and alternative music mostly but recently have been on a psychedelic electronic kick. I enjoy comedies and action movies, documentaries. Love the discovery channel, How It's Made, Fringe, X-Files back in the day, Big Bang Theory, The Matrix. I like to read mostly non-fiction. Lately on a kick for books about people doing AT thru-hikes and self-realization works by authors like Guy Finley. Anything by Alan Watts! Jordan Peterson's Biblical Series was fantastic! Currently working on Joe Dispenza's "Becoming Supernatural".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Oregon in 2017 to see the solar eclipse out in the desert near Painted Hills where it was 2 minutes of totality. Wow what a great deep experience!
In 1998 I did the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia a truly amazing experience. I've also hiked to the top of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Elbert, Massive, and Holy Cross in Colorado. I've also taken a mountaineering course and did some glacier travel in Washington State.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn most anything but love to learn technical hand-on skills. Also interested in people's background and what makes them tick. It's always fun to share my health related knowledge as well as new ideas with people.
