ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. In 2003 I moved to Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, North Island of New Zealand.

I last worked as a temp doing office work for an employment agency and as a freelance office support person. I started a pole and burlesque dance business in 2006. I mainly do hens parties and small group lessons.

I keep myself very busy...always have something on the go. I have learnt a lot of crafts, have done a lot of latin dancing, mainly salsa but also a bit of merengue, zouk, bachata, tango and rueda.

I sold my house in March 2013 because I took off travelling again on 6 July 2013. I started in Santiago, Chile and travelled through Peru where I spent a month volunteer teaching English in Trujillo. Then to Cuenca, Ecuador. I then flew to Medellin, Colombia where I was since October 2013. I am a certified TEFL teacher and was teaching English in Medellin from January until my return to New Zealand in April 2014.

I am currently on a 6 month contract from 4 September 2014 until 3 March 2015 with Volunteer Service Abroad working as Office Management Adviser to the Samoa Farmers Association.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed. Mainly stayed in hostels but would like to couch surf at some stage. I have hosted a couple of couch surfers which was really fun. It was great to talk to other travellers and share my knowledge of New Zealand.
