I am currently freelancing as a hospice care provider before starting nursing school this April 2017. Previously was working as a Lifestyle Manager for 4 years for a private global concierge company, where I developed a deep interest for the culinary scene in Singapore. I made a mid-career switch as I have always wanted to care for other people and make a difference in their lives and mine. I am always open to new experiences and would love to share and exchange them with you.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I would love to travel more often and take the off-beaten path and to fully immerse myself and get to know the locals, their cultures and see the world from their perspectives. I was recommended by several friends to join Couchsurfing and I'm inspired by their adventures and stories about meeting cool, new people whenever they travel. Singapore is truly a small country and one of the ways, I believe to be a citizen of the world is to welcome and host those who are visiting my home.

I love and appreciate all genres of music from your classical, to heavy metal to experimental music. I have always enjoyed discussing about music and swapping references to expand my vocabulary. I am also into films and love going to the cinema even if it was by myself. I have a collection of books ranging from Neil Gaiman, Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, Khaled Hosseini, Dan Brown, J K Rowling and also a plethora of self-help books from Dale Carnegie, Robin Norwood and Malcolm Gladwell.

Instead of just one, I'll give you a few.. I bungee jumped off a crane in Phuket, got lost, wandering around Seminyak, Bali for 4 hours and got a lap dance in Vegas!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

If you'd like to learn Malay, Bahasa Indonesia and some Singlish (it's somewhat like your creole language - English and all the local ethnic languages fused into one grammatically impossible spew you may not comprehend) I would be happy to exchange that for tips and pointers for learning French/Portuguese/Arabic/Spanish. I can also share with you recipes for cooking Malay dishes (my specialty ;) ) for interesting, tried and tested dessert recipes!

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I can share my local knowledge and under table guides for getting around Singapore. We are truly a melting pot of cultures and the gastronomy potential here is enormous, I feel like its a shame if you're here visiting but don't get a taste of what Singapore has to offer.
