From September 2018 to August 2019 in the East Bay! Working with apex as a professional au pair near Berkeley. I am originally social worker from Münster (Germany).
I am taking care of three kids now, one with special needs. Back in Germany I was working at schools, building up street projects and doing family care. As a social worker I like being part of somebody's journey for a while, working with so many different kids and just the variety of tasks I have within one day.

I love travelling, exploring new places and hiking.- That's probably something you have never read here before. I also love dancing! I am dancing Salsa for a couple of years now and started this year in the Bay Area with Bachata and a tiny bit of Zouk. Can't get enough of it :-) besides I'm very into sports and training for my first half marathon this summer in 2019.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the way to do it , if you want to meet people from the city, country, neighborhood you want to visit. It´s the way to meet the locals and learn different cultures.
Staying in a hotel might offer you a better comfort but you miss out great connections, conversations and insights of the place you're staying.

Travelling through South America for six months! That was my first backpacking experience and I knew that's not gonna be my last.
