Hey, I´m Katharina and 32 years old. I studied Agriculture and Environmental Protection (Master of Science) and work as an farmer on my own little farm in the near from the National Park called "saxon switzerland". For myself I like traveling so much, and visited a few countries.
I living on my own farm with my Boyfriend between the cities Pirna and Dresden. Here living also 3 cats, 3 dogs, a lot of chicken and many horses..... ;-)
I´m a vegetarian and like the nature so much. First of all I like hiking and conversations! ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like it so much to meet new travelers and I hopefully will be better in speaking english! ;-) I´m very curious meeting new people and hear their stories from way of life.
And in new countries it is very great to meet new people and speak and speak and speak.... And don´t see only the tourist Places, I like the nice places, where the locals been!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited with a friend in 2011 Senegal and saw a project about Malaria Prophylaxis. It was so nice and I learned so much. And the other really amazing thing was a Hiking tour alone with my dogs of the "Malerweg" 117km around the saxon switzerland in the near from my hometown. It was so great!!! There are a lot of great stories, but for this I need more time for telling.... :-)

I live in the near from a wonderfull National Park Saxon Switzerland, if you like hiking I can show you a part from the park. I want to learn more english and like it to speak with other people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you want you can stay in a little Caravan. It´s not luxurios, but in the Nature of my Farm. You can use my WiFi (WLAN). My Farm is in the Near of a quiet Lake where you can go swimming. Not far away is a Super Market and the Cities Pirna and Dresden. The Caravan has no Radiator or Fire Place, so please take with you a sleeping bag or you can use a few blankets. So the winter is not the best time, for a visit. If you have a tent you can use my farm, too. It´s better if you have a own Car or bicycle. I work very much, and so I have not always time to spend with the Couchsurfers. So, please, you must create your own plan what you want to do here. You can drive with the bike to the Bus or Train Station and can drive in a few minutes to Dresden or in the Saxon Switzerland. You can walk to the lake and can swim and relax there. Feel free and do what you want!
