Overview
About Me
I’m a psychologist who loves to cook and explore food from different cultures. I enjoy meaningful conversations, meeting interesting people, and I’ve been a nomad for the past year. I used to live in Mexico City, and now I’m building an eco-village on the coast of Oaxaca with friends. I also host a yearly New Year’s music event. Traveling, discovering new places, and diving into meditation and Zen practices are some of my favorite things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve been living as a nomad for the past year, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to meet fascinating people, share stories, and dive into different cultures. As a psychologist, I’m always interested in human connections and love talking about anything—from deep conversations to lighthearted chats about food (which I love to cook and explore!).
I’ve spent time building an eco-village on the coast of Oaxaca and hosting a yearly music event there, and now I’m continuing my journey of learning and discovery. Whether it’s sharing a meal, exploring a city, or discussing meditation and Zen practices, I’m always looking to make meaningful connections with the people I meet along the way.
Interests
**My Interests**
I have a deep love for cooking, whether it’s experimenting with new flavors or preparing meals to share with others. It’s one of my favorite ways to connect with people. Traveling fuels my curiosity—whether I’m visiting beautiful places, hiking through nature, or enjoying serene sea views, there’s nothing like exploring new landscapes and cultures.
Zen practice plays a big part in my life, try to have balance and mindfulness during my journeys. I also enjoy reading, diving into different ideas, and reflecting on the world. Sustainability is a passion of mine too; I’m always looking for ways to live in harmony with the environment, whether it's through small daily habits.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a big fan of authors like Hermann Hesse, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Noah Gordon, and Krishnamurti. Their works really resonate with me. When it comes to music, I enjoy all kinds—from classical during quiet moments to top 20 hits for a party vibe. I also love foreign films, especially those that offer a genuine glimpse into the everyday life and culture of a country. And I love to learn and read about food.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve been fortunate to experience some incredible adventures around the world. I traveled by train and ferry through Italy, Greece, and Turkey, which was an unforgettable route. I’ve visited Turkey twice, the second time on my way to Beirut. I lived in Spain for many years and spent a summer exploring London. One memorable summer took me across the Nordic countries, from Denmark to Sweden, and I also enjoyed the vibrant club scene and festivals in Berlin. Portugal holds a special place in my heart for its charming old towns, delicious food, and warm, welcoming people.
Living in Mexico for several years, I’ve had some of the best New Years of my life on an island off the Oaxacan coast. I’ve visited Colombia numerous times, from its national parks to hidden spots in the jungle. In Argentina, I indulged in all the food I could find while enjoying incredible live music. A road trip across North America deepened my love for its diverse landscapes, and I can’t wait to do it again with more time to explore. Some of the most awe-inspiring moments include visiting La Alhambra in Granada (a city I fell in love with), the magical Cappadocia in Turkey, and watching Machu Picchu disappear and reappear from the clouds in Peru.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a variety of amazing culinary recipes from different parts of the world, sharing techniques and flavors that bring diverse cultures to the table. I can also guide you through meditation practices, helping you cultivate mindfulness and inner peace. Beyond that, I love learning about everything, which makes me eager to engage in conversations about any topic, especially those I don’t know much about—there's always something new to explore together!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share quality time with nice walks and, hopefully, amazing conversations. I also love cooking with new friends—it's a great way to get to know each other in a fun and informal way. Sharing a meal and creating something together often brings out the best connections!
