Overview
About Me
Hey everyone! I'm from Russia and I've started my big journey little bit more than seven years ago. I've done more than 14 countries by hitch-hiking, buses, trains and planes. I lived in ashrams and meditation centers and was being hosted by different people as well as I lived with my tent in the forest. Had a lot of adventures and got tons of amazing stories about places and people.
Since I'm a programmer I work during the journey with my laptop what makes me to desire good internet connection. :-) What else... I play music - I have three flutes with me and a few small music instruments such as harmonica and mouth harp. I would like if someone join me for a jam session.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was a host while I was living in Nizhny Novgorod, but now I've been traveling for almost 5 years already. So I was hosted by many people and saw countries I've visited from different sides.
Recently I travel slowly and rent a place for long term in each new city. Which allows me to host people.
So currently hosting people in Bali.
Interests
I interested in learning. Because my opinion is: you should study something during all your life - it will make your mind versatile and healthy.
I interested in spiritual practices - it's kind of knowledge about yourself. Meditation, dreams including. But don't offer me spiritual illusionary shit - it's nothing about religion for me.
I interested in all that able to make world better.
- meditation
- music
- hiking
- software
- hitchhiking
Music, Movies, and Books
I love different music, from psy-trance (better at the party) to sympho black metal. Depends on my mood in certain moment.
About the books - lot of them. I love sci-fi, fantasy, fairy-tales. During my childhood and scholarship I used to read one book per day. Now I read less but I try to do it in English which yet goes slower for me. Some favorit books are:
Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.T, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman , Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. Also few really widely unknown fantasy books by some authors, simple, may be silly, but I love them. I think really no need list them all. Among old literature I like Dekameron and myths and fairy-tales of different cultures.
Well, now movies. Again, lot of them - old soviet movies, some of them I can show to you, Pier Paolo Pasolini's movies, Emir Kusturica's movies, lot of good sci-fi movies and series, i.e. Babylon 5.
