About Me

I live and study in the beautiful city of Salzburg. I am very open-minded and love getting to know other cultures and subcultures better and understanding different perspectives - I feel like we can all learn from each other! The key to living peacefully is respect and if you treat each other openly and listen and try to understand each other, we will see that we have much more in common than we might think. :)

Therefore, I also love to travel! I've spent two semesters abroad, one in Istanbul and the second one in Shanghai. I especially loved Istanbul and hat an amazing time there but Shanghai was a great experience I wouldn't want to miss either. My last big trip was to South America where I spent a month traveling Peru and Bolivia.

Back home in Salzburg I am very active. I am part of an independent radio station and we produce a radio show once a week which I really enjoy. I'm also part of the students organization of the communication department at my univerity which organizes events as pub crawls and running dinners, but stands in for students rights as well. I consider myself a feminist - no worries! I don't hate men ;) - and love exchanging thoughts on societal matters.
I also like to go out and dance to all kinds of varieties of Techno music or just hang out with friends in a bar or wherever we find a nice spot. We have two great Belgian beer bars in Salzburg you should check out! ;)

Moreover, I like cooking and food in general. I'm currently trying to eat mainly vegan (so much better for the environment), however, I do still enjoy meat and will make exceptions now and then.
For sports, I do Yoga, Pilates and I've started learning Salsa (inspired by my trip to South America ;) and I already love it. In summer, I enjoy meeting my friends for a couple of rounds of basketball in a park as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend Yassi and I are going to Portugal for a surf camp and wanted to check out Lisbon before that. This seemed like a great opportunity to finally try CS!

I feel like Couchsurfing is an amazing way of meeting new people all around the world, connecting and especially getting to know other cultures better. Who could better teach you about the food, tradition, and habits of another country than the people that live there? :)

So I'm really excited for my first CS experience and hope we meet nice people and find a couch to surf! ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much everything that sounds good to me. For parties I prefer techno, but on a good day (or call it a bad one) you can even catch me for 80s/90s trash :D

I like to watch thrilling movies or dramas, but I'm open for anything on movie nights but romantic comedies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Deep conversations about pretty much anything and fun times! :)
