I know it's an awful cliché, but I'll go for 'live and let live'. Also, just live. Don't hold yourself back, don't put off things you're passionate about. Do things you love as often as you can.

Music - I love my indie. Mostly British, often loud. Lately I've been listening to English country which is all sorts of wonderful.Books - Science fiction, fantasy, thrillers. Off the top of my head - Wicked series by Gregory Maguire, Neil Gaiman, Michael Marshall, Joseph Finder.Movies/Shows - Same as books. :) I love Buffy and anything Joss Whedon related. Also Doctor Who, Misfits, Dexter, Fringe, Downton Abbey and some British panel shows.
