I'm a 26-year-old PhD student in Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh, I'm studying how galaxies form through cosmological simulations.
I'm Italian and I've been living at my hometown (Vimercate, near Milan) before moving to Edinburgh.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I grew up with punk-rock (Blink182, Sum41, Green Day, Offspring, etc) + Bob Marley, a little bit of rap (Fabri Fibra, Eminem) and Italian songwriters (De André, Guccini), but now I listen to every kind of rock (from classic as Led Zeppelin to indie as Arctic Monkeys) and to a lot of other stuff.
My favourite bands are (at the moment) Ministri (from Italy), Radiohead and The Cure.
I love reading Wikipedia pages of artists and bands.

Movies
I'm not suuuper into movies (even if I'd like to), but I like Tarantino and Wes Anderson. My favourite movie is Everything is illuminated. Other films that are important in my life are Once upon a time in America and The legend of 900. My favourite TV series is and will always be The IT crowd.

Books
My favourite books are Italian novels set in Sicily (Camilleri) or in Milan (Robecchi, Fontana). I also love dystopian fictions.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tips about Edinburgh/Milan/Sicily. A glass (or better some glasses) of wine or a pint of beer.
