ABOUT ME

I live on-site at a significant wetlands conservation reserve in Otago (50km away from Dunedin) and work between two conservation jobs. Half the week I am working to help save yellow eyed penguins at a private conservation project which is self funded by eco-tourism and the other half I am working towards restoring an important wetlands habitat.
If you are interested in a volunteer exchange, we take helpers at Sinclair Wetlands which I manage. I am not able to host straight "couchsurfing" now as I have other people staying as volunteers but if you are keen to learn about NZ's wild spaces, get your hands dirty and help and environmental project let me know!

I'm keen on photography and surfing and
spend my spare time in search of rare wildlife, surfing, creating fun with pals, landscaping and planting native trees and tripping the south island.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I havn't had the chance to surf peoples couches, I have started off by offering people my couch! When I am ready to leave this sweet place and have the money and time, hopefully i can have a go at occupying someone elses couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my couch surfing experience I have hosted a whole host of people, most of which have been good sorts!

Listen to all music, although not keen on hip hop. depends on the time and place!

For a small country NZ has pumped out some massive TV series e.g back of the Y and Moon t.v. (a must see)

I have swum with a Southern Right whale (one of the worlds rarest)
Rehabilitated injured yellow eyed penguins

Swum with hectors and dusky dolphins, fur seals, yellow eyed and blue penguins

(not at once however haha)
