ABOUT ME

Hey, you who are reading my profile. These several following lines about me will probably be all mixed up and completely unrelated. My head's a mess. Sorry.

Generally, I'm an optimistic and fun person. I feel happy traveling and experiencing new things. I care about people around me. I love my family and friends, a fact that doesn't make moving around and dealing with homesickness easy. I always try to be as helpful as I can be. I like listening to people. I like long hugs.
I just love LOVE nature, this love coming from my childhood years when I was surrounded by never-ending fields and forests, be it climbing up some tree or lying down in the middle of a meadow.
I'm an observer and a listener: I like watching people's emotions, body language and reading their possible feelings as much as I enjoy looking at things from different angles and noticing these beautiful tiny little bits of my surroundings.
That's in short.

There are no borders between countries: the only borders that are out there, are the ones that we build between ourselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I'm not exactly a local in the area, I can help fellow couchsurfers when getting around the capital Vilnius, recommend some places to visit there. Otherwise I might as well provide them with information about Lithuania and its places of interest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, so good! Met great people, saw amazing places. I don't really imagine how it could've been even better.

Música, películas y libros

MUSIC: Everything depends on my mood. I can listen to Sigur Rós and some five minutes later turn some old Eminem song on. My playlist is a concoction of genres haha. What I look for in music is something that I haven't heard before: it can be either the beat, the melody or simply the words. I have tons of musicians and bands that I enjoy listening to and the list can go on and on.
MOVIES: Old movies, new movies, weird movies, sometimes romantic movies, historical movies, drama movies. Some of my favourites: The Red Balloon, Moonrise Kingdom, Everything Is Illuminated, Memento, V for Vendetta, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, The Truman Show, Princess Mononoke, Amélie, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Fight Club, Pi, Leon The Professional, No Country For Old Men, Requiem For A Dream, Nothing Personal, Mr. Nobody, The Science Of Sleep, Barefoot, etc.
BOOKS: There was a time when I was reading like crazy, then a time when I kind of abandoned literature for more scientific, more school and university-related books. I think now my reading habits are in a kind of revival mode and so far I've discovered and read quite an array of interesting literature. However, I generally enjoy Haruki Murakami, Jurga Ivanauskaite, Terry Pratchett, Erich Maria Remarque, Albert Camus, Aldous Huxley, Ernest Hemingway, Jorge Luis Borges, George Orwell, Julio Cortázar, etc.

Algo increíble que he hecho

You know, for me something amazing doesn't come down to seeing all 7 wonders of the world. Sometimes it only takes a beautiful sunset or a person you meet on a bus to realise how awesome the moment is. I'm talking about those little things : )

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I'm up for learning anything, in fact I'd really like to try surfing and finally wipe the dust off my ukulele and learn how to play it decently!
I can teach you some Lithuanian! Or English. Or Spanish. Or how to make delicious pancakes with apples and cinnamon (this might as well be just a biased opinion haha). Or we can always learn something completely new together.
