My name is Freja, I am from Denmark, but have been traveling around with shorter or longer 'home periods' since 2009, the longest, 1 year 8 months overland to India, with a band to fund our travels.

I have a son, born in 2014, who's father is Italian. We lived in Italy for 2 years, and after that we lived in a campervan around Europe for another 2 years until we found our spot on Bornholm;

In December 2018 we bought a 12 hectare big piece of land with an old school on, where we are now building our new home and a whole eco village actually! We are currently 3 families in the project and hope to be around 10-15 to build up this space!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To give what I can and help and share!
I know how it is to be on the road and get a warm bed and shower, and I want to pay back for all the people that gave this to me!
Secondly, meeting new people from all over the world is an amazing bonus ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a LOT of people in my community house in Copenhagen with which i've been a member of cs since 2008 and made amazing friends.
I have also surfed quite a bit around the world and been treated very good :)

Interests

I have always been drawing and now I use my skills for small freelance jobs, like book illustrations, logo designs, portraits and the like and I like to add an artistic touch to what I do :)

I play guitar and love to sing!

I love gardening and I am very interested in permaculture and nature in general. Love foraging wild edibles and always learn about nature!

Now I am trying to get into natural building, which will be my new interest!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have never been good at teaching (probably I'm too shy), but I can draw, play music, share travel stories, explore nature, share experience with childcare and gardening. I know a lot of wild edible plants too.

I am a always up for learning (always been a better student than teacher) whatever you can teach me, very open for almost everything, but I'm especially into learning more about gardening and building of Earthships and Cob houses and any experience with bringing up children, homeschooling and so on!

I'd love to share anything, food, my house, handicrafts - I love trading and sharing!
