About Me
I'm a happy enthusiastic person who loves to learn and explore the world.
I like to cook, good movies, live music, meeting new people and researching articles online - recipes, current news and various other topic of interest.
I've travelled quite a bit and just love to meet new people and learn all about different cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I stated above I've travelled quite a bit and just love to meet new people and learn all about different cultures, I often stay in hostels or hotels when I travel which means less experiences that many of the sights/sounds/smells that locals may know or experience which is why I joined couch surfing. Locals know the places that are off the tourist trail!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in elementary school we had a 'bring your pet to school' day. Well because I lived on a farm I decided to bring my pet sheep James. Yep, he was very freaked out by all the people and pooed all over the basket ball court. People kept stepping in sheep poo - it was quite the sight, very funny. I did make the local news for it.
Not sure if that is amazing or just a funny story :)
I have also volunteered at an orphanage in Thailand and at one of the only schools for the Deaf there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm able to teach people a bit of sign language and explain the differences between sign languages around the world ( yes, there's more than one!) share a bit of information about Deaf culture.
I also come from Australia which pretty much makes me a valuable asset if you happen to have a spider in your house because we aren't so scared of spiders in other countries, ours are more deadly ;)
I love learning about other languages, each language reflects the culture and the way people of that culture think, sometimes there may be a word that exists only in that language :)
