Overview
About Me
I got into Couchsurfing while living in Prague from 2008-2010. It was a wonderful community that allowed me to travel, enjoy European cities like a local, and build solid friendships.
Those days are long gone, but I’m still interested in connection and cultural exchange. I’m a mother of two little wild heart girls, recently divorced, and ready to reignite the spark of adventure and wanderlust. Life happens, but I never let happenings get in the way.
I’m a writer, a storyteller, and an amateur philosopher/theologian. I’m working up to going pro on some level, so I can self reference as more than just a dilettante.
I’m a Jack-of-all-trades, in the full sense of the phrase:
“Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than master of one.”
Also, in addition to Couchsurfing and travel, I’ve recently started getting into coffee and cursing again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to participate. Regrettably, I’m in no position to host at the moment. But I am willing to meet up over a cup of coffee, a drink, or a dance.
I hope to travel again more in the future, and I really valued the connections I once made through this platform. I hope to make lots of new ones.
Interests
I like to walk. Listen to music while I walk. Drink coffee and take a walk. People watch when I sit and rest between walks.
I love to dance. I can keep up with a decent lead for a salsa, a swing, or a hustle.
I love books more than my brain allows me to slow down and absorb them. Libraries and bookstores are church.
More than that, I love stories, I love cinema (but not recently), and I love art. I believe in romanticism in the classical sense, not the comfort seeking sense.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read somewhere once that it's a shame that our modern society places more value upon what a person likes as opposed to what they do. It's become a goal of mine to try and "do" more with my life, and define myself that way.
That being said, most things are in constant rotation.
Except for Kill Bill.
That will always be my favorite movie, and I probably think about it way too much. Mostly in terms of what would Beatrix do?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I personally created, incubated, and popped out two humans. Exponentially increasing my tolerance for physical pain. My emotional tolerance already through the roof.
Oh. But you’re probably thinking “meh.
That doesn’t count.”
Fair enough.
One time I got the art jitters and wrote a 255 page screenplay in two and a half weeks.
No one has read it.
I’m not the type to get blood on your shoes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always a tad too confident when I speak considering the depth of knowledge I have in any given subject. I avoid Mount Dunning-Kruger like the plague.
I talk a lot about psychology, philosophy, and the nature of the mind and existence.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, stories, laughter, and—Jesus, I should hope an ounce or two of wisdom.
And a damn good recipe for chocolate chip banana muffins if you’re so inclined.
