Overview
About Me
I hopped through a few countries over the past six years or so until I was hired by a physics experiment at the Large Hadron Collider and moved to Switzerland.
I also co-founded a fablab (essentially, a shared community space where people can express their creativity and ingenuity), I am there most nights and weekends trying to build things.
I never owned a game console, or a car, I use the bike all year round.
I am a solo traveler (not really by choice, it's just a consequence of being always busy), and am more likely to host other solo travelers.
I am not a party animal anymore, nor a tour guide (Geneva is a very quiet place anyhow, and there's very little to see), but if you think we might get along just say so...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a perfect way to "travel without moving", especially now that I work a lot and don't travel as much.
I've been involved with couchsurfing for over half a decade now (time flies) and I've hosted dozens of people, nothing but positive experiences.
I used to surf, but nowadays I have a grown-up job and very little free time, so I can't write a lot of personalized surf requests anymore...
However, I started here as a host and I still try to do that when I can.
Interests
I try to keep up with the global socioeconomical landscape but have no strict political affiliation anymore.
I read and listen a lot about travel but I'm not obsessed with putting pins on a map, or crossing items off a bucket list.
I consume a lot of (electronic) music and am slowly teaching myself how to produce my own.
I want to run my own business one day (to have more freedom to travel) and already spend a lot of time working towards that goal.
