About Me

Always smiling and loving life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see CS as an opportunity to meet really interesting people, to learn more about new cultures and make international friends. I started by showing my home city Vilnius around some years ago and continued by being hosted in several other countries. This helped me to meet quite many interesting people and experience new countries in a different perspective as well.

Interests

Traveling, socializing, meeting people, gaining new experiences, participating in events and organizing some, volunteering, completing challenges, spending time not monotonously etc.
Always very much into a good music. Don't have a TV, but sometimes get more than addicted to catchy TV series. Interesting movies/books are always a pleasure as well.
If you want to speak about dogs, better don't get me started. I love dogs way too much to shut up on this topic.
Since I've grown up in the greenest capital of Europe, I cannot imagine my life without a lot of nature around.
I'm generally interested in lots of different kinds of stuff. And whatever I do, I put all myself into it to take/enjoy the best out of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies.. I think it's hardly possible to tell all the favorites. The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, Pearl Harbor, The Impossible, The Green Mile, War Horse, The Intouchables, Edward Scissorhands, Life is Beautiful, Hachi, Changeling, The Others, Twice born, An American Crime.. I guess the list is already too long to continue :)

Music: I better not start telling my favorites, because I love music in general. I can't live without it any day. The list of my favorite performers and songs I enjoy is extremely long. But in case you are interested, I can always share which song is on my mind at the moment : ) And I used to play the piano myself quite well.

Books: Woman in Berlin, Not without my daughter, Im Westen nichts Neues - maybe these three are my favorites. Haven't read Harry Potter for ages (or since my childhood), but I still love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, life is amazing itself and I try my best that every day would contain at least a little piece of something great and memorable.
Usually the simplest personal things are the most amazing that even travel experiences sometimes can hardly beat that.
Quite some flashbacks:
- Staying in one of the top floors of Marriott hotel right in front of the Niagara falls in Canada;
- Counting falling stars one August night while lying on the swings pretty close to the Lithuanian seaside;
- Crossing the Arctic circle, skiing, riding huskies and doing other stuff in Lapland;
- Having the best months ever while being an Erasmus in Hungary;
- Doing a Balkan road trip;
- Swimming in the Ocean on the first day of the New year;
- Living in officially the sunniest capital of Europe - Lisbon;
- Surfing in the Atlantic Ocean;
- Celebrating Christmas in huge and loud Portuguese family and eating 12 grapes on the NYE with traditional and hospitable Spanish family;
- Taking a boat through Amsterdam's canals during the night;
...
...
...
- Generally all of my trips.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you my amazing native language - Lithuanian. I agree, it is very difficult, but have you ever heard how cool does it sound? Maybe I can teach you to enjoy small things as well - if you haven't started doing it yet, it's the high time! :)

I think we are learning something from every single person met in our life - either we notice it or not. So I can let you know what I've learnt from you later :)

And of course I can share lots of a positiveness which I have inside me :)
