About Me

CURRENT MISSION

As an Indy native, I know the city like the back of my hand, and love to show folks around!!

ABOUT ME

I enjoy meeting people from all over the states AND the world. I like showing folks around my city, but am also fine with guests who just need a quiet spot to crash... I live in a comfy place in a beautiful historic neighborhood near downtown Indy with my 2 cats(as FYI to the extremely allergic) and a couch and spare room with a twin bed.

PHILOSOPHY

I look at everything in my daily life as a learning experience. I believe we are all students of life no matter what our age. I feel we should seek out opportunities to learn or experience something new every single day, whether it be a place, a new word, something about ourselves or others, a new song or book, or meeting new people! I'm accepting/tolerant of all lifestyles/beliefs-(so long as I'm not preached to ;-) )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy hosting couch-surfers while they are passing through and am happy to show them around the city or provide rides when I can. Since I've lived here most of my life, I know all local points of interest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've hosted about 8 Couchsurfers, and have met additional visiting CSr's in a social setting with other members of the Indpls group. I've very much enjoyed getting to know each of them in their brief time in Indy.

Interests

Entertaining, socializing, travel, reading, mixed media art, learning about various cultures and place around the world, painting, art journaling, spending time with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really need to DO more amazing things, actually, lol...but have been volunteer-teaching refugees for last 4-5 years, and the refugees always amaze me!

Scenically- driving around the Ring of Kerry/Dingle Peninsula in Ireland... or just being up in the Rocky Mountains... so far...

Locally- to witness Indiana become a BLUE state during the last presidential election... and to see Obama win the 08 election.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to be given everything, give everything up.
