About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to learn more, to live fully, to love all, and to be able to die a happy man someday.
ABOUT ME
I'm always at a loss for describing myself. I'm a bit of an engineer, a bit of a hippie, a wannabe poet, a wannabe musician (need LOTS of work there). I'm usually pretty laid back - one of those people that would prefer hanging out in a coffee house or pub or around the kitchen table to going out to a club or something. I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out where I want my life to be going, but somehow still find time to enjoy most every moment of it. I keep trying to figure out how to live simple and relaxed but I seem to stay right near the edge of the fastlane.

PHILOSOPHY
I want my life to be defined by showing love to everyone I ever meet. If you have any ideas on how to live that life, I'd love to hear them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My fiancee (https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/lost_in_life/) and I were both a little involved in couchsurfing before we met and we've jointly hosted a bunch of people and surfed with a few. It's been a great experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's all been good. My favorite so far is getting to know a couple random bands and getting exposed to their music. And then just meeting all the kindred spirits along the way!
Interests
Good food (and preparing it from gardening to cooking), good drink (which I'm getting started creating as well), most sorts of athletics (surfing, snowboarding, paddle boarding), music, poetry, books, travel....

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer dark movies (not horror but not happy), any original music, and most any type of book I've ever picked up.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stood on top of Half Dome. Stood on the rim of the Grand Canyon (and then 2-3 hrs later sat at the bottom). Sat on a hill in Thailand and watched the sun burn the fog off the rice paddies. Chain smoked at 1 AM under a bridge with a man that lived there talking about what it means to be alive. Wiped out snowboarding into chest deep powder and somehow climbed back out again. Everything is amazing if you slow down to look at it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn anything you have to share. Especially when it comes to international culture, artistic expression, gardening, living simply and happily.
If you see anything in my life that interests you - just ask. Chances are I'll share more than you care to hear.
