About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life with more purpose

ABOUT ME

I live near where I was born, literally. I live down the street from the hospital where my mom gave birth to me. I attended cosmetology school while finishing high school, met the Dalai Lama when I was 16, traveled to France, Spain, and Italy at 14. I live with 2 small dogs and I do hair for a living. Most of my time is divided between work and my family... aka my adorable niece and two nephews.
I'm very involved with my neighborhood revitalization and animal rescue projects as well.
I love meeting new people and hearing about their lives. Makes being a stylist quite a good fit, because people can tell me about themselves all day long.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat everyone as an equal, and as you expect and want to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet new people that have a zest for life and show them what my city has to offer. As someone that has lived here my entire life, I'm a really great tour guide, because I truly love this city.

Interests

Movies, gardening, music, art, good food, beer and cocktails, animal and human rights, comedy, dancing, crafting. I have intense POVs and speak loudly and passionately.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not like Country music or Rap, I'm good for pretty much everything else. If I'm reading it's usually for pure pleasure, and most likely funny. I'm a movie nut and love it all, but I prefer a good documentary, drama or comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think meeting the Dalai Lama was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had so far. Something amazing I saw, some may find morbid, I was in the room when my Grandmother passed away. She was surrounded with the family she created, the only person in that room that did not come from her life was her husband. It was truly remarkable to be there when she left this world.
