About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking where to go next

ABOUT ME

I grew up in "Tenerife paradise", one of the 7 islands of the Canaries. Its a very Beautiful place, with a wide outdoor activities offer. I am a biologist and evolution freak, currently working as Education Manager in a local zoo.

About me: i guess i'm quite open-minded, talktative, cheerful and people say im funny - i cant prove that, sorry!- (if you dont take life with humor, it becomes meaningless).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I was living in US, I surfed many couches in my traveling around the country. It was a great experience. I met many people along the way and beautiful places. Same in Argentina, where I met amazing people that I can call my friends now.

Couchsurfing allows you to travel in a different way, embracing new cultures and experiencing the local life, not just touristic sites. Plus, its great to get to know interesting and open people that otherwise you wouldnt get to know as easily.

Interests

Laughing, travelling, going out with friends, Gin&Tonic (only when i go out, if not it would be kind of concerning), sleeping "siesta", sports (thai boxing, diving, rock climbing...), cooking for other people and eating what other people cook, india and all kind of asian food, PUMPKIN ice-cream (until i moved to the US i didnt even know it existed, love it) movies, music, animal behavior and evolution....

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies (soooooo many): Nearly any movie of Guy Ritchie(except the one with Madonna), Cohen, Scorsese or Tarantino, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Cidade de Deus, Match Point, Being John Malkovitch, many corean movies (Bin Jip, Oldboy...) and much much more.when im feeling that im growing up: Disney-Pixar (Lion King, Robin Hood, Aladdin, Up, Wall-e...) or Dreamworks (Shrek) movies!!

Music: any rock-derived from rock music (rock-folk, indie, pop-rock, punk, garage...). Any good live-music would be fine, too.

Books (this is hard, i'd rather say writers): Isabel Allende, Tolkien, Mario Benedetti, Saramago, Eduardo Mendoza, Noah Gordon... At the moment, I'm very into scientific literature: Richard Dawkins, Arsuaga, Konrad Lorenz...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a volunteer in Bolivia with wild animals: helping them, walking around with an ocelot and a puma for a month, get to know great people... It was just AMAZING!!

And, of course, TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Canarian/Spanish cooking!

I love learning new stuff, and, as we say in Spanish: "A la cama no te irás sin aprender algo más"
