Overview
About Me
I am a portuguese girl studying music (violin) in London.
Besides music, my passions have always been travelling, art, different cultures, nature, animals (horses in particular) and just being open to life in general.
I love being surrounded by interesting people, people who challenge what I feel and think, who make me see the world from new and different perspectives. However, I do value my own space a lot so spending time alone and exploring by myself is always something that gives me great pleasure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling has always been a passion and I have always dreamed of travelling alone. While talking about this with someone who does it often, she mentioned Couchsurfing - this concept sounded incredible to me! I guessed I always needed one last push to make me brave enough to just go out there alone and I think Couchsurfing might be it!

Music, Movies, and Books
The worst questions someone can ask me: Music, Movies and Books... Never know where to start!
I am a classical musician but my musical tastes go way beyond that - I honestly love to always be exposed to new music and new styles. The band that has touched me the most ever is Nirvana - there is something that I can't explain about them that makes my whole body vibrate. Eddie Vedder, Mumford and Sons, The Doors, Leonard Cohen, Arvo Part, Oumou Sangaré, Bach, Beethoven... oh well...
About movies, don't get me started... Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, Shining, Schindler's List, The Others, Django, Star Wars, Mulan,...
If I had to choose an international favourite book, it would probably have to be "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. As I am portuguese, my two favourite writers are Gonçalo M. Tavares (particularly his "Jerusalem") and José Saramago (highlighting "As intermitências da morte").
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing I am very proud of is the community work I have been doing in the last few weeks: I was involved in a workshop in three community centres in London to introduce families to music. It has been amazing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely bring my violin and play something for you if you would be interested!!
