Hey guys,
we are two young girls from Munich, currently studying Scandinavian Studies together. Beginning in September we'll be studying abroad in Gothenburg, Sweden, for a year. Yay!
We think this might be the perfect chance to travel around and explore Scandinavia and we're looking forward to experiencing as much as possible. We are both very interested in getting to know foreign cultures (including art, music, eating, drinking etc) and meeting new people. Whenever we are travelling we're the opposite of couchpotatoes and we like to see as much as possible, e.g. visit museums, walk around town and do some good ol' tourist-stuff. And don't forget the local bars and especially the local beer (we're from Munich, what did you expect?).
So in conclusion we're two open-minded, spontaneous and fun girls and we're really looking forward to meeting all you beautiful people!

Interests

We both have similar interests (that's why we're friends and travel companions) including: art, music, festivals and concerts but also hiking and being outside.
We try to keep up with all that's happening in the world and we're always interested in everything new like hyped bands, TV-series and films.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music we're mostly into old fashioned Indie bands, e.g. The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Kills, Franz Ferdinand, QOTSA, The Libertines, Kasabian.... you'll probably get an idea
Each one of us has different preferences as well. Lara loves The Doors and many bands from the 60s and 70s and Ines pretends to be into the hip hop scene.
But as we've said before we're open to almost everything and we're sure there is a lot of music out there we would like to get to know and become fans of.

Actually we're not that picky and we watch every kind of movie, except for horror films and Katherine-Heigl-romcoms, which are basically the same.

We're currently trying to read our way through all the classics.

Teach, Learn, Share

As we mentioned before we're studying Scandinavian Studies and with this comes the eagerness to improve our language skills in the Scandinavian languages (especially Swedish, which we learned at university, but also Norwegian and Danish. We would also like to learn a bit of Icelandic as far as that's possible. So if you're patient enough to teach us a little bit of your language we would be over the moon. In return we would reward you with the best of melodic German.
