About Me

Hi community !

I am french, i have been living in Italy for 10 years but decided that i needed a drastic change more than a career ! I travelled around the world and had the best experience of my life! I came back, very happy of my decisions, and took another one, which is to finally say goodbye to my previous life and start a new one.

I quit my job !! YYEEAAAAH !!!

I am going back home in France to renovate a house on the beach in Normandy and hopefully I will start a new life in Canada next year ... many things are going on and... nothing!
Now that the round the world tour is done ( -- I am trying to share my experience here, but i am not really up to date with my writtings... www.founioutravel.com -- ), i have new fullish dreams... it's a never ending story !!!! I have been trapped in the Mongol Rally idea... ahahah may be one day ?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I registered for my travels last year, but I actually never used it as ... I always succeeded in getting accomodation with locals directly onsite ! but i mean... as i am now back in Europe, i understand that the spirit is different ! So it's to push it a bit and may be, i will meet some great people ! My interest in this community came back after meeting "super randomly" a norvegian couchsurfer who brought me back to the enthousiasm of sharing with other "random" people !

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, usually the artists I enjoy listening are unkown, I really don't understand, why ???? sometimes i wonder ... may be It's just because I have bad tastes ...

I am not only trapped in the Mongol Rally idea, i am trapped in the obsession of Discovery.
Right know I wish i could become a National Geographic Adventurer (i just need to learn how to use a reflex camera ... which could help you know... for the job ... ) and i usually get moved by books or movies which are somehow related, adventurers and crazy lifes (yes i am sorry ... i am in the loop may be give me some months and i ll come back to reality !)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

May be what is incredible for me is not incredible for you ... We all have different interests.
I could die in front of an Italian Ice Cream for instance... eating gelato is incredible.
It could be something very simple or something out of the world.
We all do incredible things. I'd rather have a beer and tell you some insane stories...
I love thinking that I'll build the rest of my life to be an incredible story.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I know some karate moves
- I may know some yoga moves too :)
- I am trying to get into meditation, but the real everyday practice is really hard for me ! So I just get curious and read about it.
- I am French / Italian - cooking is like breathing (hopefully my friends won't read this)

- I'd love to understand more about professional photography
- I am curious about wine production and artisanal brewery
- One day I'll learn some old school mechanics so I could deal with my shitty car on the Mongol Rally !
- Would also love to convert my vintage camion into a tiny house and travel :)
- Super curious about permaculture
- Every crazy stuff you do , like hunting beavers with a bow in Patagonia (true story)

- I would love to share travel stories, get inspired by the life you do and understand your routine.
- Drinks, meals, cooking sessions, laughters and poker games (if i am in the mood of losing :) )

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will for sure bring you some joy in there !
If I travel to your place, I'll try to bring in my little bag something from home :)
I love to make people talk and I am always eager to listen.
It's all about respect and sharing !
