Music, Movies, and Books
Got a Queen-Tattoo on my arm since I'm 18, says more than a thousand words ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked over 800 km on the Spanish North Coast on the Camino de Santiago. One week in advance, I didn't even know that I was going to.
Left home for 6 months to backpack through Nepal, Subsahara Africa and Turkey.
Camped and worked for one month in the Namibian desert ( Damaraland, Brandberg region), with endangered Desert Elephants walking through our camp at night.
Trekked the Mountain Gorillas in the Ugandan jungle and came so close to them that I could almost hear them breath.
Experienced amazing acts of human kindness while working and living in Nepal
Overlooked the old town of Stone Town / Zanzibar at night from one of its highest rooftops while listening to Muslim prayers all around me.
Danced with Masai warriors in Tanzania
Climbed through the second largest cave in South-East Asia in Nepal
Rowed through endless masses of water lilies in the Okavango Delta, Botwana
Climbed the dunes in Sossusvlei, Namibia, at 4AM to watch the sunrise
Lived in a buddhist monastery in Nepal for two weeks and gave a nun "outdoor" English lessons in the shade of an old Buddha Tree
Taught Pigmy children in the Ugandan highlands how to dance the Macarena
watched a whole pride of lions lying down in the shadow next to our jeep for siesta in the Serengeti.
Flew over the Okavango Delta with an old bush plane
Teach, Learn, Share
Not least because of my travels, I know a little about a lot ;) Just ask, even if we end up having rather unorthodox Yoga lessons in your living room or lessons in broken Nepalese, you're welcome :P
