About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling the world, one step at a time...

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from a coastal town in Connecticut up in the northeastern corner of the United States. After graduating from high school and college I lived in Colorado before moving to the Seattle area in Washington State to work at a small aeronautical engineering firm. Most recently I completed my MBA, but soon afterwards decided to take some time to travel the globe in order to learn more about the people and places that make up our world. At that time I had packed up everything that I owned into three crates and put them into long-term storage. My adventures took me all around the globe for two years, showing me a tremendous amount about some amazing countries and cultures.

Most recently I've returned to the US and am doing a bit of skiing while I contemplate my future plans.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to let slip away. But more importantly, its the people whom you touch along the journey that matters more than simply living your life to the fullest at all times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm excited to meet people while on my travels and as well to host people while at home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hadn't heard about CS until I was preparing to head out on a RTW trip a few years ago. A friend of mine mentioned it to me and suggested that I look into it a bit.

I have had tremendous experiences ever since. I have used both the CS site as well as a personal network of friends, overseas family as well as friends of friends while traveling. I am thankful to have the opportunity to now put back into the karma jar.

The ability to bring people together all over the world through CS is an incredible idea. Through it I met some amazing people, learning about cultures and shared some wonderful memories.
