About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Diving Expedition in Pacific.

ABOUT ME

The boat is a community. We depend on each other for saftey & for fun. Everyone is expected to participate with sailors' duties, cooking, watch-keeping, raising sails & more. We will offer training in all areas so that you will feel confident
no previous experience is required. Be aware that communal life together requires a high level of energy input and round-the-clock involvement.

An easy going nature, a sense of humor & a high degree of self-motivation is important to us. We value industrious, pro-active personalities, good social & communication skills and a community ethic.

We operate on a fixed shared expense basis (39 Euros/day) per person(diving, visas and clearance costs exclusive)

All meals, fruit, coffee, tea & water and ice are provided.
Bunks are available in double and twin cabins with fans.
There are 2 Showers & 2 toilets.

This is a exploratory and environmentally focused sailing expedition - not a holiday - so please be prepared to participate often; compromise once or twice... & have the time of your life!

The voyage so far has been nothing short of epic.

The yacht is a 120 ft Ketch equipped for world-wide cruising. The living quarters are designed to host an international group of people. Large communal spaces include a library, a spacious & airy saloon; cinema; a workshop; a full size kitchen complete with deep freeze, ice maker & pizza oven; a dance floor; sound system; & lots of deck space. We have a large tender, a dive compressor, dive equipment, snorkeling equipment, wake boards, surf boards and some musical instruments.

The yacht has been sailing the South Pacific for the past 9 years with an alternating crew of 16 to 20 people from all over the world including the captains family with 4 children. From 2004 to 2006 she sailed from Mexico to Thailand with stops in the Line Islands, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomons, PNG, Philippines, and Malaysia. From 2006 to 2008 she sailed on a Coral Reef expedition from Thailand to Fiji and back via Singapore, Indonesia, PNG, Solomons and Vanuatu. Then from Thailand to Hawaii via Palau and Micronesia and from Hawaii to the Marquesas to the Tuamotu archipelago and to Tahiti. The a voyage left Hawaii and sailed to Marquesas, Tuamotu, Society Islands, Cooks, Tonga, Samoa and New Zealand. From there to Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomons and Australia... most recently we have sailed from Australia to the Philippines and Sabah Malaysia via Papua New Guinea & Palau and the Andaman islands of India and back to the Philippines, Palau and Micronesia.

SAILING EXPEDITION IN THE PACIFIC LOOKING FOR CREW (no experience necessary).
We are excited to return to the islands of the Pacific with a great international team of around 20 people including children. We are passionate divers.

We arrived in Patagonia one month ago after an amazing sail from New Zealand via the Ross sea, 8000 miles of rough ocean between the icebergs and 6 weeks south of Cape Horn, all went well and we are happy to be near land for a while...
This is our itinerary:
We are now sailing in Puerto Montt preparing for our trip to Tahiti. We will set sail on June 10th from Montt to Easter Island visiting Easter Island in early July. From there we will sail to Pitcairn (latish July) and plan to arrive in Tahiti, Papeete before August 15th. From Papeete we will sail between the French Polynesian atolls until 15th of September and set sail again from Papeete on the 20th of September to the Cook Islands and the Line Islands where we'll surf dive and enjoy the remote atoll lifestyle till late January... At last we sail to Hawaii for the Humpback whale migration February till May.....
After Hawaii we plan to sail to Alaska and Canada...
It would be great to have you aboard, the crew is awesome from all around the world including 4 children..
We have dive instructors (scuba and apnea) with us and all the gear.
The crew will be from many nationalities including several children.
For stays over 6 weeks we ask 39 Euros/day. This includes food and everything onboard (except visa, port and clearance fees etc. gets divided between everyone).
To join, please find and fill our questionnaire on our website.

We have dive instructors (scuba and apnea) with us and all the gear. Several of the dive spots we visit are among the world's best. Dives are 15 Euros/dive and 12 Euros/equipment.

Our vision is a healthy ocean and we organize beach clean ups and small community projects along the way. Our goal is to be involved in environmental and sustainability promoting activities. Among others we’ve worked with PCRF, Greenpeace, Birdlife International, and Reefcheck.
We already have fantastic people from around the world joining the voyage. You can become one of them.
