About Me

CURRENT MISSION

LHR = Live life, Have fun, Recycle.

ABOUT ME

I'm outgoing, very easy to get to know, cheerful and an optimist.
I love to try out new things as well as doing the good old stuff such as watching a movie and reading a book. I also think it's fun going out dancing and thinks utdoor games, board games and other games are underrated.

I have a bachelor degree in International Development including a semester in "Peace and Conflict Studies" in India. Two years ago I travelled around the world (not everywhere, but quite many places) so I have a lot of experiences I can share if you need some tips. I am currently working in Young Friends of The Earth, Norway, trying to save Norways environment and you know the whole "Think Globally. Act Locally"-thing.

I don't really know where home is on the map (yet!). But I believe that home is where the heart is, which means that where my friends and family are, my home is :) And whoever is my friend is welcome to stay at my place wherever I may be ;)

PHILOSOPHY

One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

You could say I'm an open door; I am open to everyone who is friendly and who genuinely wants and tries to be a good person. I'd like to say that I'm 100% unprejudiced, but I'm not sure if that is possible, so I will say that I'm 99% unprejudiced. :P

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed once in Buenos Aires for a week. That was awesome. My host was absolutely the best! I have never had the chance to host anybody yet though, as I have been travelling a lot lately. But now I am back!

Interests

I love travelling and learning about different cultures and different ways of living. I also enjoy studying and working in a job that is meaningful. Sadly my studies have taken much of my time lately, so that I haven't had time to have many hobbies, but I really enjoy hiking, drama, going to concerts, singing and dancing and much more...

Music, Movies, and Books

There are soo many, so I don't know what to write down really. But here's the first ones that pops up in my mind right now:

Favourite movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Into the Wild, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Juno, LOTR, Oslo 31. August, Troubled Water, As It Is in Heaven, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Lars Von Trier's The Idiots, Breaking the Waves and Melancholia (I really want to see Dancer in the Dark!).

Favourite books: Harry Potter, The Kite Runner and Mengele Zoo.

Favourite music: Alternative, fun rock, electronica, pop, singer/songwriter. I like a lot of different styles of music and my favourite bands/artists changes all the time.

What I listen to the most right now is: Highasakite, Twin Shadow, Beck, Alt-J, Royksopp, M83, Active Child, Fleet Foxes, Bombay Bicycle Club, Foster the People and others

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping down the Oribi Gorge in South Africa was pretty scary and amazing, and walking up to Preikestolen near Stavanger never ceases to amaze me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Norwegian (of course) and many fun games (if you are also a person who likes to hold on to the playfulness we had as a child).

I want to learn everything that sounds interesting and is practical, either it's new knowledge, a new language, how to be a better cook, to play an instrument, how to take awesome pictures, how to make my own clothes or something else that is fun!

There's probably a lot that I will be willing to share, since I am not a person with many secrets. However, one thing I love to share is music and opinions/thoughts about anything!
