About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking forward to the swifts.

ABOUT ME

I'm 30 and a student of English and American studies here at Kassel University.

Kassel is where I grew up and I love going for walks around town and in our parks. Half my family lives here, the other half in Berlin. I'm planning on going back to Cologne after finishing my studies here to further study translation. But I enjoy being here for the time being.

I'm very much into music and singing. Also I've taken up knitting and love to knit at Uni while listening to the lectures.
I have a few favourite bars and cafés and can help you around the art scene here, the cinemas and the areas of Kassel that are most fun to explore. There are a few bits of beautiful old cityscape left and we have a unique Bergpark, so if you'd like to visit park Wilhelmshöhe or the Aue, I'd love to come with.

There pretty much isn't a topic I would not talk about. But I also really enjoy being quiet, working on a text. Balance is key.

I've worked in an organic supermarket for a couple of years, and fully support organic / regional shopping. Also women's studies and solidarity.
I only ever watch movies without German dubbing.

My home is home to a lot of plants and colours.
I don't wear outdoor shoes in my rooms and keep my things reasonably clean. If you like to have a clean fridge to store your food, welcome on board.

If you brought me a mixtape of your fave music, I'd be so grateful. I think it's the best way to discover new music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted quite a few people, especially during documenta. I believe in it and think it's the best way to enjoy our city during documenta.

I'm very dependable and do my best to make my guests feel at home and comfy. I'm fully equipped and love to share my stuff. If you want to cook, let's cook, if you need to read or use my PC, you're so welcome. I also have a dishwasher and a washing machine that you can use.

If you squint hard enough, you can actually see the Herkules, Kassel's landmark from my kitchen window. Other than that, the view over the city really is something - 3rd floor on a steep hill forever! (Don't worry, the tram station's right beside the house + it's not loud).

I always have a number of organic teas around, plenty of cushions, blankets and stories, and if it's really urgent (or you just feel like it), I love to do haircuts. I've been cutting my own, my friend's and family's hair for about 15 years. I'm especially good at short hair cuts as I've had all sorts of pixie cuts myself.

If you need anything, just ask. I love hosting.
