About Me

Hi there! I’m Ingabire, a passionate traveler, host, and tour guide from Nyamata, Rwanda. I run a travel business and love connecting with people from all over the world, sharing the beauty of my country, and learning about different cultures.

I live about 25-30 minutes from Kigali International Airport in Nyamata, a charming town with unique attractions, local restaurants, and a vibrant community. When I’m not busy organizing tours, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring hidden gems, and exchanging stories with travelers.

As a host, I’m happy to share my knowledge of Rwanda, recommend places to visit, and even show you around when I can. I believe Couchsurfing is more than just a place to stay—it’s about building connections and creating unforgettable memories.

Looking forward to welcoming you and sharing some incredible experiences together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and sharing meaningful experiences. Hosting travelers allows me to showcase the beauty and culture of Rwanda, especially my hometown, Nyamata. It’s a chance to exchange stories, learn about different perspectives, and build connections that go beyond borders.

Couchsurfing also gives me an opportunity to experience the world through the eyes of those I meet, even when I’m not traveling myself. For me, it’s not just about offering a place to stay—it’s about creating memories, sharing laughter, and making every visit unforgettable.

Music, Movies, and Books

My Favorite Music
I enjoy a mix of Afrobeat, Rwandan traditional music, and soulful classics. Anything with a great rhythm or meaningful lyrics gets my attention!

My Favorite Movies
I’m a fan of inspiring and heartwarming films, especially those that tell unique stories. I also enjoy documentaries about culture, travel, and history.

My Favorite Books
I love reading books about personal growth, travel adventures, and African literature. Stories that transport me to new places or give fresh perspectives are my favorite!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Starting my own travel business has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. I get to share the beauty of Rwanda with travelers from all over the world, and it feels amazing to show people the places I love.

One of the highlights was taking a group to Akagera National Park. Watching their faces light up as we saw lions, elephants, and giraffes up close was unforgettable. It’s moments like that that make me grateful for what I do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m all about learning from others and sharing what I know. I love showing visitors around Rwanda, teaching them about our culture, history, and the beauty of the country. It’s always exciting to share the spots I love with people from all over the world.

But I also love learning from the people I meet. Everyone has something unique to share, and I try to soak up as much as I can from every conversation and experience.

In the end, it’s about sharing good moments and learning from one another along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d love to share everything I know about Rwanda, from its rich culture and history to the best local spots and hidden gems in Nyamata. I can introduce you to some delicious Rwandan dishes and share stories about my travels and experiences.

I’m also eager to learn from you—your travel experiences, the cultures you come from, and the stories you have to tell. Whether it’s chatting over a cup of coffee, exchanging travel tips, or showing you around, I’m excited to create a meaningful exchange.

For me, Couchsurfing is about building connections and sharing moments that make travel unforgettable.
