About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Starting a career in venture capitalism and growing as a person

ABOUT ME

I am a mechanical engineer with both, a good feeling in the hand and a broad and deep knowledge of technology in the head. But on the other hand I am also interested in philosophy and the 'thing which is above function' - I am convinced, there is!

PHILOSOPHY

My goal is not to live an easy comfortable annoying live but moreover to live with an high intensity: I want to get through all situations and emotions the stronger the better. I want to feel happy and sad, I love and hate and it is not the Harmony and Comfort but the intensity I am searching for.
I am very tolerant and I think, that there are nearly no wrong approaches and that nearly everything make sense when you take a look from the right perspective. So I seek the many perspective as possible and am always keen to get a mosaic piece from you to enlarge my view of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now I mostly surfed, as very few people came to my village...
Sometimes I'm also on CS events

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2011: I made a cycling tour from Paris to Berlin, where I surfed 6 Couches. All people I met on this occasion were really nice and different persons.
2012: I surfed a little bit during my stay in Australia, which was 100 times more fun than staying in hostels (they are crowded by Germans anyways :P )
2014: Roadtrip around the Baltic see, 3 weeks, 6000km and 3 Couches surfed

I love the German philosophers NITZSCHE and FROMM. Beside I read old classics such as Dostoevsky, Schiller,...
Best film ever is 'Into the wild'. This one should be mandatory to be known by every Couchsurfer ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Buliding a robot from scratch.
Diving at the Great Barrier Reef in the night - circled by Reef sharks
Cycle tour from Paris to Berlin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an engineer and I understand technology in practice and in theory and no matter what, i will fix it! Then I know the German spirit of living, learning and working. A powerful way of progressing in live (but a cold one as well)...
I'm always open to learn nice things about cooking and tasting, about views on the world,...

What I Can Share with Hosts

-I can cook french salt-butter caramell crêpes for you
-I can sharpen your kitchen knives (mostly razor sharp in the end!)
-I can fix your bicycle
