Overview
About Me
Long time, no see couch surfing.
On a recent trip to Patagonia, I was reminded what I love traveling. I love the challenges we face, such as directions or language barriers and the unexpected rewards we encounter like happenstance discoveries or unexpected connection.
Top three things that spark my interest: beautiful views, emotional intelligence, and great conversation.
I’m down with mindfulness, yoga, and meditation.
BUT also I like being silly and extremely sarcastic.
Not really here to find a future partner, cuz I already got a great boyfriend. Just looking to get to know the city and the people in it!
CURRENT MISSION:
Be here, now
True self-love
PHILOSOPHY:
"Motions are like waves watch them drift in and out on the vast calm sea" -Ram Dass
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Initially, I started this profile because my friend Josh was consistently hosting surfers. His roommate told me to start a profile and so it began... I was hosting people in my dorm room as a Resident Assistant in college!
I love the trust and love associated with couch surfing.
My family emigrated from the Philippines and I grew up with a mother that was very afraid of the world and very afraid of people.
As I grew older, I realized I did not want to live my life in fear. I wanted to experience life in every way possible.
I want to meet people, learn their stories, and gain new perspectives.
2017 Ingrid:
To be honest, something happened to me in Taiwan. Somehow I lost faith in people and that's why I moved back to America. To gather my roots and be around people I loved and loved me. I fondly remember couchsurfing was an experience in college I enjoyed. It was challenging at some points, but overall the conversations or experiences I had with surfers inspired me. Inspired me to travel, inspired me to "trust the universe," inspired me to learn new and different things. Some conversations even healed me in a way, it's kind of nice opening up to strangers and just letting them see you. So that's why I'm back and I hope you can help me on journey
