About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take deeper breaths and rekindle dreams long-forgotten.

ABOUT ME

A quick and sometimes wacky sense of humour...even in the midst of a crazy stressful day in the newsroom of a national TV station. I love to see the nuggets in an otherwise seemingly normal day. I love to appreciate GOD's creation and feel most refreshed when I'm basking in it. The older I get, the more I appreciate the ones I love. Life has taught me to never have unfinished business with someone, for you never know when they leave your life... so let them know how much you care for them, while you can.

PHILOSOPHY

Each of us sees amazing things every day... if our eyes are open to looking for them...random acts of kindness, gratitude, finding beauty in the small things, taking time to listen (sometimes between the lines).

Interests

Running (trail and road), surfing, hiking, outdoor activities and generally being out in nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shark-cage diving in the National Geographic shark-cage diving capital of the world, Gansbaai. Hiking the Fish River Canyon in Namibia and being woken up at night by wild horses coming down to the river to drink. White-water rafting down the Orange River. Cliff-based Southern Right whale watching, playing in the Bay at Hermanus.
Seeing the delight of the children from an orphanage in Semonkong, Lesotho, when we constructed a jungle-gym and installed rain-water tanks.
Having breakfast with the Maletsunyane Falls ( the highest single drop waterfall in Southern Africa at 192m) as a back-drop.
Seeing killer whales in the wild, off the coast of Seattle.
Paragliding over Wilderness, South Africa.
Hiking the Tour Mont Blanc.
Tracking gorilla in Uganda
Hiking the Inca Trail
