ABOUT ME

I'm living in Gent, Belgium. There's always something to do in this city: free concerts, festivals, going out, enjoying a night at the pub.
I love to read and to write, and to meet new people. I have a daughter, aged 13.

I work three days a week for a small IT company, as marketer.

Please make sure to send your request to stay at my place at least ten days prior to the date you wish to surf my couch. My schedule is usually quite full :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm easy-going and down-to-earth people. Not very religious, not really into politics. Let's say I try to keep my sanity in an insane world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer accomodation (either couch or proper bed, depending on when you want to stay). If you want, I'll be glad to show you around town.
I'm looking for couches in New-Zealand from december 15th 2011 untill January 17th 2012.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far: only heard about it from a friend who traveled to Finland, Russia and the Baltic States via this site. He was very enthusiastic, so I decided to join.
Another friend of mine made some great friends couchsurfing in NY.

I've hosted a couple of surfers now, and the experience has always been very positive for me.

Interests

I'm interested in the 'usual' things: reading, watching films, going to a museum, having a beer at the pub, quizzes.

I like to meet new people and like to travel (although we can't do this too often).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music: rock, blues (i.e. Neil Young, Lou Reed and the likes), but also electronic music (from Pink Floyd to a good goatrance beat to go out).
