About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I left Australia in June 2023 and spent a year travelling in East and West Africa which was an incredible and challenging experience. When I finished the trip, I felt like I wasn’t ready to return to Australia yet, so I started working online and decided to move to Turkey and volunteer with refugees there. I will be moving to Turkey at the end of September and I’m super excited about it! Looking forward to meeting locals and having genuine experiences in one of my favourite countries in the world.

ABOUT ME

I am a psychologist who loves learning about people and different cultures. Whether I’m at home, or on the road, you will always find me dancing, whether it’s at a Latin dance night, or with some kids in the village, I will always find a way! I am definitely addicted to travelling, and I love to explore off the beaten path destinations.

PHILOSOPHY

“ Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.” – John Lennon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel to meet the locals and experience how they live in their country. Couchsurfing provides a unique opportunity to exchange cultural experiences and meet people you wouldn’t meet otherwise!

Interests

Exploring new cultures, psychology, anthropology, Latin and Afro music, dancing (my fav is salsa), art, movies, food, trying new things, yoga and kirtan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did something I never thought I was capable of, and hitchhiked from the end of the world (Ushuaia) to Santiago, Chile over a period of three weeks. The experience taught me that I’m stronger than I realise, and that the world is full of kind strangers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you salsa if you're game enough to try, and I promise I will laugh at all your jokes.
